Why such repetition? Is it to remind the people, in the midst of a long list of things to do and (mostly) not to do, Whom they ought to keep their focus on? Like, it\u2019s not this list of religious ordinances that you need to look to but Me! I am Adonai your God; I am the great reason behind it all; this is Who I am; be holy because I am holy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cI am Adonai your God, who has set you apart from other peoples.
